Terms of use — version 2026-08-12

In effect from 12 August 2026. This is an archived version, kept exactly as it was published. The current wording is on the terms page.

MY WISHES — TERMS OF USE
Version 2026-08-12

1. YOUR ACCOUNT

You are responsible for the security of your account and for the accuracy of
what you record in it. Choose a password you do not use elsewhere.

Verify your email address. Account recovery and emergency-access notices are
sent to it, and both are useless if it is wrong.

2. WHAT THE SERVICE IS

My Wishes is a place to record information and instructions for the people you
choose, and to decide who may see them and when. It is free to use.

3. WHAT THE SERVICE IS NOT

We do not provide legal, financial or tax advice. Nothing recorded here is a
substitute for a will, a trust, or any other legal instrument, and recording a
wish here does not make it legally binding. For decisions about your own
affairs, consult a qualified professional.

4. YOUR CONTENT

What you record remains yours. Sensitive fields and uploaded files are
encrypted. You may export or delete your account at any time.

5. TRUSTED CONTACTS AND EMERGENCY ACCESS

You decide who may see what. A trusted contact sees only what you have granted
them. Emergency access, if you enable it, grants read-only access to your
records after a waiting period during which you are notified and may refuse.

6. DELETION

Deleting your account destroys your records and cannot be undone. A minimal
record is retained: your contact details, the dates the account opened and
closed, and the date and version of the agreements you accepted.

7. CHANGES

These terms may change. The version you accepted is recorded against your
account, and earlier versions remain available.
